Coastal Community Resilience & Post Storm Recovery

Coastal Community Resilience & Post Storm Recovery

The entire state of Florida and portions of the southeast have felt the devastating impacts of hurricanes. This is the time to understand ways to stay safe before, during, and after natural disasters. Appropriate personnel may seek to develop practices for building community resilience, especially in coastal communities.

This guide is meant to:

  • Provide hurricane safety tips for individuals, property owners, and pets
  • Provide resources that can aid in building community resilience
  • Provide UWF students, faculty, and staff with further information on storm recovery practices. Individuals not associated with UWF are encouraged to visit UWF Libraries to have full access to books for checkout, ebooks, and journal articles.
