MLA Citation Style, 8th Edition

This guide will provide rules and examples for using MLA citation style.

Online Magazine Articles

Magazine articles generally include a specific date and a page number (unless viewed freely on the Internet).

Example, Available Freely Online:

Newkirk II, Vann R. "Celebrating Juneteenth in a Moment of Peril." The Atlantic, 19 June 2018, www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2018/06/celebrating-juneteenth-in-a-moment-of-peril/563213/

Example, Online Library Database:

For the URL in a Library Database, be sure to use the database's feature to get the stable URL or "permalink" as those links are static and do not change.
