The 3D printing Makerspace in SkyLab provides UWF Students, Faculty and Staff the opportunity to design and print 3D objects and work on electronics/computer programing projects. The MakerSpace is intended for educational purposes and is not a 3D printing store.
Skylab staff members assist patrons with the 3D printing process and provide support/training in regards to the operation of the 3D printers. Those who are interested in 3D printing are required to learn how to operate the printers and do their own printing. SkyLab does not take orders for 3D prints by phone or email, as the MakerSpace is a hands-on, in-person learning/research lab. The MakerSpace supports innovative instruction by providing UWF students, faculty and staff the opportunity to learn about a variety of technologies, incorporate them together and invent the future!
