General Information about using the UWF Libraries Skylab MakerSpace

Personal 3D Printing for Students

UWF Students will need to join the MakerSpace and attend training in regards to the operation and maintenance the MakerSpaces’ printers before they will be authorized to use the equipment. Students must provide their own PLA filament for their personal 3D printing projects. If a printer becomes jammed or damaged in some way while you are operating the machine, it is your responsibility to report the issue to MakerSpace staff  and complete or at least assist with the necessary repairs in order to get the 3D printer back to operational status. Visit SkyLab for more information about joining the makerspace.

Unattended Items:

3D prints, filament and other items left in the makerspace for over 30 days are considered abandoned and will become property of the Library which may be discarded or used at that time.

3D Printing Queue:

Occasionally, the 3D printing queue can get backed up for weeks or months. Coursework, research, and capstone projects have priority in the printing queue.
