A dedicated drafting PC is available for use in the MakerSpace. This Dell Precision 7000 series CAD workstation has an Intel Xeon processor, 32 gb memory, solid state drives, dual NVIDIA Quadro M4000 8gb CAD video cards and twin 27-inch 4K monitors. This computer is capable of handling more complicated drawings, assemblies and simulations. This PC is available for use by all UWF students, faculty and staff.

SolidWorks for beginners’ workshops can be arranged for groups of four or more students. Additionally, quality SolidWorks training is incorporated into the software.

Students who are unfamiliar with 3D modeling that would like to have something designed and are not interested in learning 3D modeling will need to find someone to do the drafting work for their personal projects.
