Children's Literature Comprehensive Database (CLCD): Tutorials

When logged into your account you can....

• create reading lists
• review your search history, and
• save searches.

You can still use some of these features without an account. However, when you are not logged in, search history and lists created will be lost forever when you close the page. By logging into your account, you can retain lists and searches for future use.

The video tutorials below explain how to use these features.

...set up an account?

• Select "MYCLCD LOGIN" at the top right of the page.
• Select "Request Access" and enter your UWF username and password, and additional personal information.
• Refresh the page, and log in with your UWF username and password.

...create a reading list?

• Select your search terms and filters according to your preferences.
• From search results: Check box to the left of multiple titles and click “Add Selected Titles to Reading List” at top of search results page.
• Directly from item’s record: Select “Add to Reading List”
• You will be prompted to either “Create New List” or “Choose From Existing List”
• To access your saved lists, access the “MY CLCD” tab at the top right of the page, and select “My Reading Lists.”
• You can download, print, or email reading lists using the buttons at the top of the page.

...access recent searches?

• Access the “MY CLCD” tab at the top right of the page, and select “Search History.”
• The last 50 searches you completed will be shown.
• Click on the keywords of a search you want to re-execute. Note: If the original search only used filters and not keywords, you can not use this feature.

...save a search?

• Check the box to the left of the search you want to save.
• Select “Save” at the top of the page.
• To access saved searches, access the “MY CLCD” tab at the top right of the page, and select “Saved Searches.”
• You can save an unlimited number of searches.
