Community Patron Card

The UWF Libraries are happy to offer borrowing privileges to community members who live in the Panhandle region (including Baldwin, Escambia, and Mobile counties in Alabama). In order to obtain a community card, you will need to present a photo ID and proof of current local address (utility bill, etc) at the Circulation Desk. If you have a state of Florida issued ID with a current local address, there is no need to present additional proof of local address.

If you are under the age of 18, your parents/guardians may put your name on their card as an authorized user. This will allow you the same privileges afforded a regular community patron. You MUST have the card with you to check out any materials.

Community borrowers may check out up to 4 items at a time, including up to 3 DVD's. Books check out for 28 days and DVDs and other media for 7 days. Community borrowers are not allowed to renew items.

Florida Pass Program (FLA-PASS)

The FLA-PASS website has a few FAQ's for students. Including "What is FLA-PASS," "What are 'e-resources,'" and other quick questions. These links are found here.

Here is a quick link to the FLA-PASS Login page.

Don't forget that FLA-PASS offers a student guide for your use, as well. This document is downloadable and located here.

Computer Use

Desktop Computers

Pace Library has over 100 desktop computers on the 1st and 2nd floors available for patron use. All workstations provide internet access and many pre-loaded applications, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, digital image editors, etc. Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and community patrons may use any computer with a green circle on the log-on screen.  Community users should go to the Information Desk to obtain the current username and password required to log onto the network.

Wireless Access

ArgoAir is UWF's secure wireless network, so most computers and mobile devices must be pre-configured for access. Setup instructions are available for different operating systems and devices. Community patrons can obtain the current ArgoAir guest username and password at the Information Desk. Please note that the password changes every Monday at 7:00am.
