You are invited to attend a free non-credit earning GK FTCE preparation course offered fully online!
The initial phase of your certification tests, the General Knowledge FTCE, requires you to pass four subtests before you will be permitted to enroll in a formal teacher education program in a Florida university. The General Knowledge FTCE tests your basic academic knowledge of language, reading, math, and writing. Future FTCE tests will require you to illustrate your knowledge of professionalism in education and knowledge or your area of emphasis.
This free course will be offered fully online through Canvas and is designed to prepare you to take and pass the GK examination. You will be guided to assess your understanding of the requirements for passing the GK FTCE and your current knowledge. Resources will be provided that will help you gain both the skills and knowledge needed for your test day. The course is self-paced.
Two practice tests will be included in the course. The first test will assess your knowledge prior to studying in the course. The second practice test will follow your completion of each subject area. This second test will closely follow your official GK FTCE in both format and time constraints.
