Dr. Rebecca Williams, Associate Professor of History at the University of South Alabama, and Dr. Marie Therese Champagne, Associate Professor of History at UWF, will provide a brief lecture and facilitate a discussion of Maria Rosa Menocal's The Ornament of the World. This is the third in a 5-part book discussion series. Copies of the books are available at the UWF Libraries (print and kindle), the West Florida Public Library, and the Islamic Center of Northwest Florida.

Dr. Sam Turner, Directory of Archaeology at the St. Augustine Lighthouse Archaeological Maritime Program, will present a lecture on the search for the privateer Jefferson Davis, which ran aground in shallow waters off the coast of St. Augustine in August 1861.
