Kindness is Contagious: Nurturing Well-Being Together - February 20, 2024

This open workshop will include topics related to practical self-care strategies and actionable steps to contribute to a culture of kindness at UWF. The event will feature Abraham Sculley, a national speaker, bestselling author, and a UWF alumnus!

Workshop participants will engage in a dynamic and interactive session designed to cultivate a culture of compassion, empathy, and well-being within the UWF community.

Led by Speaks 2 Inspire, this workshop explores the transformative power of kindness, provides practical self-care strategies, and encourages participants to extend compassion to others. Through engaging activities and discussions, attendees will gain valuable insights and tools to enhance their mental health and contribute to a supportive campus environment.

Women's History Month Lecture - March 19, 2024

Join UWF Libraries for a Women's History Month lecture titled, “Running Scared: Examining Dorothy Kenyon's Response to Senator Joseph McCarthy's Communist Allegations." Dorothy Kenyon was an attorney, judge, and political activist who played a pivotal role in the legal fight for equal rights.

What is a zine? A zine is a hand-made booklet, often filled with your personal story or interests. The library will provide supplies for zine-making but feel free to bring your own favorite pens, markers, stickers, etc., if you wish!
