Library Cards

UWF and NWF student IDsYour UWF Nautilus Card or NWF Raider Card serves as your library card.

If you are a Northwest Florida State College student and have not checked out materials from our library, stop by our Check Out Desk to get registered in our system.

Community members may register for a community borrowing card with proof of local residence (e.g., driver's license).  Call 850-863-6578 for more information.

Borrowing Materials

In order to accommodate the unique nature of the Emerald Coast Library, there are some variations in loan policies and procedures from the UWF Pensacola Campus library.

Only six items at a time may be checked out from the Emerald Coast Library.

Items checked out from the Emerald Coast Library may be returned or renewed at either the UWF Pensacola or Emerald Coast campus.  Books checked out from the Pensacola campus may be returned or renewed at the Emerald Coast Library.  Online renewal is also available.

Materials checked out from NWF Niceville Learning Resources Center may also be returned at the Emerald Coast Library, but you must renew them in Niceville, over the phone (850-729-5318) or online through the "My Account" function of the LRC Catalog

Paying Library Fines

Library fines are assessed for overdue library materials as well as items that are lost or damaged.

We do not accept payment for fines in the library.

You will receive a bill in the mail for any fines you accrue.  You may then pay your fines by these means:

  • By return mail using a check or money order.
  • Via the Pay by Credit Card utility in MyUWF. There is no convenience fee for using a echeck. A convenience fee is charge for using a debit or credit card.
  • In person at the Cashier's Office located in Bldg 20E on the UWF Pensacola Campus.
