Do You have a Rare Book?

Old does not necessarily mean rare or valuable. Here are two important resources that will help you learn how determine the value of your item:
 
Your Old Books is a guide published by the Rare Books and Manuscripts section of the American Library Association and made freely available on its website.
 
The guide contains good information about rare books and includes links to other resources.
 

The Antiquarian Bookseller's Association of America website also contains a great deal of useful information including a searchable list of its members and its catalog.

IRS Information

Donors who wish to take a tax deduction should consult the IRS or their tax advisors. The following publications will also be of use:
