Types of Resources

There are a wide variety of resources available including journals, books, videos, images, web sites, etc...  Some will be scholarly (written by scholars and experts),  professional/trade (focused toward a profession, ex. nursing), and lastly popular (appeals to everyone, especially consumers). It is important to understand the differences so that your information meets your needs. Keep in mind that where you search is very important. Our databases lead you to books and articles that you will have access to, Google may help you find an article, but you're on your own after that!
