Pressbooks is a WordPress-based online platform for self-publishing books in multiple formats: e-books, textbooks, webbooks, and print-ready PDFs. The software, which is open source, makes significant changes to the WordPress admin interface, web presentation, and export routines. Although popular with monographs, edited collections, open textbooks, its built-in interactive H5P plug-in also makes it a good choice for Open Educational Resources.
The University of West Florida Libraries currently provides support for Pressbooks involving an author agreement with the library and working on a publication timeline. Please request a publishing consultation to begin the process.
If you are a member of faculty at the University of West Florida are having trouble using Pressbooks or need assistance with other publishing resources, you can contact the UWF Library Coordinator of Scholarly Communication.

Creative Commons Licenses are built on the following 5 principles.
As a content creator you decide which license to use, add it to your work, and then publish it to your website, your institutional website, a repository, or OA/OER resource site. Once done is is available for reuse around the world within the parameters set by you.
