College of Business Faculty Guide to Library Resources

Finding Assistance

Shari Johnson, your Business Librarian, is available to assist with finding journal articles, e-books or articles that might be useful for assigned readings, instruction to your students on finding online journal articles and e-books (or other), and support for scholarly endeavors such as finding or publishing an OER. Course Reserves

Materials can be placed on reserve for your student's use either in physical form or virtually. These items are restricted for use by UWF students for 2 hours at a time.  Reserve items can include:

  • Textbooks (we purchase required level 1000-3000 textbooks each semester)
  • Additional Assigned Readings (upon request these can be added to your Canvas course)
  • Videos - we will stream DVDs that can be linked within your course
  • Multi-media materials
  • Specialized technology such as telescopes, anatomical skeletons, etc.

Instruction for your class

Shari Johnson can instruct your class on mastering research skills for writing a paper, formatting APA citations and references, tips and tricks for using specialized databases, and other instruction tailored to your course assignment. Instruction can be in your classroom, in the library computer classroom (rm. 123), or virtually either live in Zoom or recorded. Please let me know in advance if you need instruction using the request form or by email..  More information on information literacy is provided in this guide.
